My favorite band HUM, who broke up years ago, is playing a show new years eve at The Double Door. What is even SUPER MORE AWESOMER is that they're playing with one of my favorite existing bands The Life and Times. My wonderful wife actually found out about the show looking for a birthday present for me. I can't believe that I didn't hear about this sooner. I got my tickets and will commence preparations for rock! Science! Loud guitar! Open bar! Our tickets are ordered.

i'm stoked, too.
Wait, open bar? I mean, the situation was already worth the small fortune I'm dropping on airfare and scalped tickets, but Open Bar?!
Yeah there is an open bar. I got tickets from ticketmaster just before they sold out. According to ticketmaster they have printed and mailed but I haven't received them yet and I'm getting worried.
So my tickets never arrived. Ticketmaster claims to have shipped them on Oct 10th. I called them this past week and they agreed that they were probably lost and said they could set up a lost ticket voucher which I will have to pick up at the will-call window 90 minutes before the show after giving them a photo ID, credit card, order number and sperm sample. Well, the last one I'll include for free...
Also, they added a second show on 1/1/2009 for $20. I will probably go to that one too. yeah.
dang jim, that sucks. i too have had horrible customer service from ticketmaster. they're a greedy corporation with their 'convenience' and 'service' charges.
unfortunately it looks as if the second show is also sold out already. hope you get in to at least one of them.
